We acknowledge that Tiohtiá:ke / Mooniyang (Montreal) sits on the unceded traditional territory of the Kanien’kehà:ka Nation - a gathering place for many peoples, including the Haudenosaunee, the Anishinaabeg, and many others. We also recognize that Canada continues to be shaped by ongoing colonial practices.

Through this land acknowledgement, we commit to reflecting on the impacts of colonization and to working actively toward social justice, Indigenous sovereignty, and respect for Indigenous rights, cultures, and ways of knowing.
